FICE Canada
Canada is truly the co-founding country of FICE. After the success of the petition for the reintegration of the Democratic Republic of Congo into the AGOA program, FIMES coordinator organized a video conference meeting which brought together Congolese in the diaspora from all over the world to bring this information to their attention and encourage them to carry this program for its implementation in order to support the Congolese economy and fight against unemployment by creating jobs.
It was during this meeting that the call was made to the participants to work within the framework of FICE, a group of Congolese intellectuals from the United States which was already doing reflections, analyses, and proposing solutions to the problems of the Democratic Republic of Congo and the emancipation of the Congolese diaspora under the leadership of its founder who happened to be the negotiator for the reintegration of the Congo DRC into AGOA program.

Canada has a large Congolese community that has the particularity of living in the region where it masters one of the two national languages. This is how this community is found in the region of Quebec where French is the official language and in other parts of the country that are English-speaking. From an economic, scientific, and cultural point of view, Congolese in the diaspora living in Canada generally share the same traits as those in the United States.
Within the FICE, Canada has the 2nd largest right behind the United States in terms of the number of memberships in the organization. In addition to the representation of women and youth, FICE Canada committee has taken into account this linguistic diversity.
